James DeAngelis has been passionately creating for almost a decade. He’s a director, writer and actor who emphasizes telling authentic, human stories that are both visually stunning and thematically compelling.
In 2017, James co-founded the YouTube channel Sugar Pine 7, where his partners and he gained over 1 million subscribers with their fictional vlog series, Alternative Lifestyle, which went on to win a Streamy Award for Show of the Year. Their show was bought by the digital media company, Rooster Teeth Productions, where they continued making the show until 2019.
Since then, James has focused all his efforts in creating narrative films & music videos. Some artists he has worked with are Whales•Talk and Good Boy Daisy. In 2021, he made his directorial debut with the psychological horror short film Three Kings. For James, 2022 was a year of growth and momentum, and he’s ready to go even bigger in 2023.
